You don't say if they didn't want to leave because it was so bad it was worth seeing or not, but "Time Bandits" happens to be one of my favorite movies-- I actually went out and plunked down the outrageous amount of money required to purchase a copy. Even if you didn't like the movie, I think the production values-- the costumes, effects, photography, music, etc., were fairly well done; hardly the mark of a complete dead loss.
