I listen to almost all kinds of music, including new wave, progressive rock, avant garde, and lots more, and I've never heard anything by Kate Bush. For a while I was convinced that she was a joke created by net.music regulars to fool new netters; I even went to a record store to check. Since I like almost every album I know in the top of the album survey, there's a good chance I'd like to hear Kate Bush too. Can someone clue me in on her music? Judging from the taste of people who post here, I'd have to guess that she's a cross between Laurie Anderson, the Beatles, and Pink Floyd, whatever that would sound like! By the way, I just spent the summer in the Boston area and turned on WVJV-TV (V66) for part of almost every day, and I never heard her mentioned in any way, nor did I ever hear anything of hers played on WBCN. If she'sBoston's latest rmusical star, I don't think most of Boston knows about it. Thanks in advance for the revelation. Dan Rose (rose@UCSD)
