I guess this started because Klaatu (sp) is the name of Michael Rennie's robot buddy from "The Day the Earth Stood Still" (I think?) and he appeared on Ringo's Goodnight Vienna album. People, desperate for a Beatle fix, let their imaginations run wild ala Paul's death.
