For those of you who might be interested in documentary biographies, the three volumes by Otto Erich Deutsch on Handel, Mozart and Schubert are super - extracts from letters, journals, newspapers, etc provide a wealth of material on the composer, compositions, the mileau, etc. Dewayne Perry
