[PETER BARADA] Well, Peter, count me in on any Mirage user exchange. I went and bought it last week (along with the TR707), and thus far I've been very pleased with it, having learned to sync the drum machine with the Mirage sequencer in shorter time than I expected (through MIDI). I have several curiosity questions, some of which I'll probably feel stupid and naive about having asked after I get the simple answers, but heck, I just got it a week ago, so here goes. 1. Is there a way of transposing a sequence during playback using the keyboard (say, recording it in C and playing it back an octave/some interval higher/lower)? 2. Is there a way to append an already recorded sequence (NOT overdub, but continue with more material after the end point)? I mentioned these as "enhancement requests" to Ensoniq, along with getting separate upper and lower outputs. I haven't started sampling yet (my apartment is too much of a mess to do anything ridiculous at this point), but I'm curious about other new sounds I'd be looking for: - studio laughter (and/or diabolical laughter) - other sound effects (thunder, gunshot, whip cracking, birds, etc. - mixmaster turntable scratch - blown drainpipe (a la Peter Gabriel) - sitar - other guitar sounds (Andy Summers' sound, hollowbody) -- "There! I've run rings 'round you logically!" "Oh, intercourse the penguin!" Rich Rosen ihnp4!pyuxd!rlr
