Message-ID: <521@phri.UUCP> Date: Fri, 11-Oct-85 15:54:51 EDT Article-I.D.: phri.521 Posted: Fri Oct 11 15:54:51 1985 Date-Received: Sat, 12-Oct-85 14:19:09 EDT Distribution: net Organization: Public Health Research Inst. (NY, NY) Lines: 16 We're looking for an array processor to hook up to our Vax-11/750, running 4.2bsd. The last time I looked (about a year ago, when we were preparing a grant proposal), the only real choice was Floating Point Systems hardware with Peter Berens's Apunix software. It now looks like we're going to be funded and we want to know if any other companies have gotten into the act since then. To give you some idea of what we want, we had previously settled on an FPS 5205 which is a 12 MFlop, 36-bit machine. We have something like $50-75k budgeted for hardware and software. If it doesn't run under Unix, preferably 4.2, we're not interested. -- Roy Smith System Administrator, Public Health Research Institute 455 First Avenue, New York, NY 10016
