I put moth balls on the soil in my plants and they worked like a charm! The moth balls did not harm my plants and there was no messy cleanup because the moth balls eventually dissolved. WARNING: MOTH BALLS ARE EXETREMELY POISONOUS!!! KEEP THEM OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN!!! WASH YOUR HANDS AFTER HANDLING THEM!!! Notice how your cat reacts to the moth balls. If her/his reaction is not one of repugnance get rid of the moth balls. My cats were decidely offended!!!
