There is an important point here, that is that *in* *peacetime* maintaining military preparedness is *pure* *cost* with no real profit. People tend to be very short sighted, even about thier own self-interest, ofhten trading immediate gain for long term harm. I sincerely doubt that there would be more than token defnese preparedness in a pure profit oriented Libertaria.
