Please don't do that! Unless you have verified it yourself, or unless you *know* that the editor of the newletter has verified it, *don't* send a petition based on this kind of information. You'll probably be wasting your money for the stamp and my tax money for the time of the underpaid government employee who has to process your letter. I've heard variations on this rumor many times before. In all cases, when anyone bothered to check, no such petition had ever been submitted. Just in case this one is different, I called my Senator's office this morning and asked his staff to verify for me whether such a petition in fact exists. (I'm certain it doesn't, but it never hurts to check.) They haven't called back yet, but when they do, I'll post what they say. Until then, *please* don't write the FCC! (Unless, of course, you have already independently verified the matter.) charli
