I read this book as well.  Unfortunately, this book lies about 400 miles
away from where I am right now, so I can't remember the exact title.  I
believe that the title is "The Day of the Gods" or something similar.  Don't
rag on me too much if I can't remember the title!  Very few people have read
this book, as far as I can tell!
