Having been single, married, in a few heavy SO relationships ( that is to say, living with someone ) and now flying solo, I feel basic personal health issues are better attended to when one is living with a lover/spouse. For example, you have what appears to be a sore throat that just won't go away. If you are living with someone, they will probably notice ( especially if you like to complain ) and offer up some sage advice about getting your sorry butt to a doctor. However, if you are living alone, you might be tempted to just throw on some more sweaters and ride it out. I wonder how many potentially dangerous illnesses have been nippped in the bud by attentive spouses. Herein lies a possible clue to the statistical evidence that marriage is "healthier" than the single life. Of course, it may have something to do with the chemicals that are put in Swanson "Hungry Man" dinners.... -- Mark " Do you smell smoke ?
