I congratulate the Cards on their great season, but only rabid Cards fan
blinded by loyalty could fail to recognize (just check the stats) that
John Tudor, Willie McGee, Tommy Herr, and Ozzie Smith had career years.
Their stats just don't come close in any previous season.  It's too early
to tell whether or not Vince Coleman's season was a career year.  He'll
probably hold the playoff record for "most times eaten by automatic
tarpaulin roller" for some time to come :-).  Oh, yeah, Danny Cox, Jeff
Lahti, and Ken Dayley all had career years, too.  Look it up.
