Barney did work at the quarry for a short time. He was layed off his
regular job (I don't know what that was..) and Wilma made Fred take
Barney to see Mr. Slate.  Mr. S. realized that they were related,
uncle and nephew I think, and gave Barney the job of foreman -- Fred's
boss.
