I might be too picky, but two logical flaws in the second Hitchcock
seem to bother me:

1.  How did she (wife of a policeman who got shot) get the position
    of nursing the suspect.

2.  If she wanted to kill the suspect, why not do it in the hospital?
    Seems like there were more opportunities and less suspicious at
    the hospital then taking him home and shooting him.
