As it stands now, here is the situation (as I know it -- if I'm wrong, flame like hell): The 23rd season WILL be filmed and broadcast, with both Colin Baker and Nicola Bryant (who has put on about 80 pounds), however, IT WILL ONLY CONTAIN 14 EPISODES (either two fours and a sixer, or three fours and a two, most likely the latter). More to the point, THE LAST TWO STORIES OF THE SEASON WILL TAKE PLACE ON GALLIFREY, which unfortunately gives the BBC a good point at which to blow up the entire place (in Blake's 7 style). Therefore, we must start with our next surge of letter writing -- this time, polite but clear demands that the series be continued PAST the season about to be filmed. The show must AT LEAST live to see its twenty-fifth anniversary. Also, the current stars must remain in the series (though we can do with out John Nathan- Turner, flame me all you like for that). So come on: there's no time like the present (ask the Doctor about that). A. G. Percus (ARPA) percus@acf4 (NYU) percus.acf4 (UUCP) ...!ihnp4!cmcl2!acf4!percus
