(CitiCorp), Santa Monica Lines: 22 Keywords: Special Effects Generators I am looking for a special effects generator for home use. It needs to have independent video/audio mixing (two channels sufficient, more the merrier). It would also be nice to have matte capability (insert from video A wherever video B is value X). Fades are required. Wipes are nice, but not required. I want to use it to edit tapes and discs into a presentation format for my VideoFests for friends. It would be nice if the SEG was expandable, but I realize that that probably doubles (or more) the cost for the same functionality. Are there any consumer SEG's that will do this, or do I have to go to the (necessarily expensive) professional gear meant for the small studio? What will this (consumer) equipment cost? (The only consumer equipment I have seen is the Video Interface Products device. It does not have matte and has non-useful (to me) "bouncing ball" gimicks. But it is cheap.) Any help will be appreciated. Obviously, if interest warrants, I shall post a summary. --Kne
