I'd also like a troff previewer to use in conjunction with the printer. We're running 4.2bsd. We're currently using an Imagen 8/300, but itroff (Imagen troff) doesn't allow us to access the fonts embedded in ROM. One option is to use Imagen's language "IMPRESS", but we don't want to tie ourselves to one vendor. The Imagen is nice, however, as it provides a pre-viewer we can use on our Suns. (We use a Sun as a printer server). If anyone can offer suggestions or pointers, I'd be very grateful.
