I knew it would happen.  Apathy has once again struck fear into the hearts
of ont.singles.  According to this machine (watrose) there has not been a
posting here since 2 March 1985.  I haven't been on the net since Jan. '85,
so this may have been dead even that long.

Humph!

Are there no singles in Ontario?
Do we have nothing to talk about?
Is there nothing unique about Ontario?

I know, this newsgroup was created for some obscure purpose (um let's see,
singles is really an acronym for Slowly Interacting Nonspecific Giga-Lichen
Entering Senility).  Oh and all right, everybody is out there reading
net.singles because of the greater traffic.  Well if this really is the
case, I'll just shut up now.  Because, after all, nobody is reading this
anyway, so why say anything?  (Aha! but if nobody is reading this than I can
say anything I feel like!  Wow! Maybe this should be renamed to
net.primal-scream.  At last - a use for dead newsgroups).
