WHile I appreciate all the people tellings me that the tape was protected I
would appreciate it more if they had remebered the subject of this discussion,
to whit, the assertion which someone made that VMS ignores the ANSI-label at
the flick of an option.  If someone whould care to present an example of
how VMS ignores the tape owner/protection information on a proper
ANSI labeled tape at the request of an UNPRIVILEGED account I would be
interested.

That BACKUP can not be made to request properly labeled tapes is a
separate problem.  Its a bitch in a labeled tape shop as Andy et al
already know.
