We have 3.0 running here and by the way Steveee our lpr works just fine! I don't think you should criticize what you obviously don't understand. Sure 3.0 still has some bugs in it because the official release won't be out for another two weeks. I'm sure when this release comes out officialy if Steve Walls will sit down and read a few manuals he might figure out how a UNIX system works. Enough of verbal abuse, what other company can boast co-resident Sys V and 4.2 unix operating systems. Our experience has been extensive with masscomps and we have found a lot of problems in the past too. But nothing that a little ingenuity didn't take care of. 3.0 also has a new windowing system that seems to work excellent. The system also comes with a Kernel debbuger for debugging problem device drivers. Also available with the system is a C compiler, Fortran compiler and Assembler which generate common code which is run through the same optimizer. Any of you who have written a compiler or assembler realize this is not an easy task. By the way the C compiler is a screamer! Another feature is a full blown Berkley implementation of an in kernel TCP/IP. All around these machines are pretty good little workstations. I said WORKSTAIONS not mainframes for those who like to put 20 users on a workstation class machine. ===================================================================== Bob Keathley USEnet: ...!neuro1!sisd Ford Aerospace & Communications Corporation 1150 Gemini M3B Houston, Tx. 77258 Disclaimer: This view in no way reflects Ford Aerospace & Communications Corp. opinions or views.
