The IEEE/CS Workshop on Visual Languages is designed to bring together computer professionals whose research and development work reflects either of these two definitions of a visual language. Relevant areas of work include computer graphics, image processing, geographic information languages, iconics, videotex, and forms and menu processing, among others. We invite the submission of papers on current research and development in visual languages. All papers will be refereed, and those presented in the workshop will be pub- lished in a proceedings.
