Anti-lock braking is not particularly new. Lowly Chrysler had such a system as an option on the full-sized Imperial circa 1970. I have read the factory service manual, and the implementation was quite good -- there was a separate vacuum servo at each wheel and a separate angular accelerometer at each wheel. It seems to me that they missed (and are currently missing) the appropriate market segment. In general, owners of these boats aren't the slightest bit interested in performance.
