Summary: How do you like the Audi?

What is the general consensus on the AUDI 5000S? Have people had good luck
with the car (especially the newer ones) ? 

My family has owned and abused a Dasher for almost 12 years (150,000 miles),
and it is just now beginning to die. We are lookinf for a family size car
with plenty of head and leg room, especially in the back.

The 5000S seems to fit the bill quite nicely, and we seem to be able to get
a reasonable price for a 1986. Also, do people have experience with the Audi
extended warranty: the figure we have been quoted is $700 for a 6 year
75,000 mile warranty which covers everything except for the break pads and
the clutch.
