It was same price as Firestone was offering for their best battery on sale that week. After 3 Diehard's in my old car I would never buy another one again..... The first one lasted 1 week, the replacement lasted 11 months, and it's replacement lasted 15 months... I like the way the Bosch batteries recess the terminal posts so that the battery fumes and any spilled electrolyte does not lead to corrosion. Three years with still shiny and clean posts seems to me that they did something right. Also both OEM batteries lasted 3 years in my diesel which needs a good strong battery for northern winters...
