I noted that there was a halogen controversy a while back please note difference between Halogen and non Halogen brightness occurs after use. Non-halogen lights appearnot to be brighter because they wear out almost immediately; the filament plates the back of the lense much like vapor deposition. The halogen replacement lights, replace the filament material back on the filament therefore keeping them clean on the inside and making them appear to be as bright as new (much more so than average headlight) throughout their life.
