That is, IF you can easily inspect the spars. Planes like the wood-wing Mooney (and to a lesser extent the Bellanca 14 and 17 series) are a maintenance disaster. Of course, you can always find someone to illegally sign the plane off without actually having done the inspection, and take your chances that your wing spars haven't rotted.
