I don't believe volume 8 is out yet.  Gonick is superb, but not prolific.  I
was in San Francisco last week, and the comic stores there did not have it
(and surely they'd get it first, Rip Off being right there...)

If you're dying for another fix of Gonick's excellent historical work, start
following the "Whole Earth Review", which has a series by him on the
American War for Independence.  Good stuff.  According to a programmer at
Whole Earth, the latest issue ought to be out "any day now"; it's been shot
and printed.
