I do have experience in the identification and development of information products which use computer technology as their media. I would like to provoke discussion of some basic CAI issues. 1. where is the line drawn between CAI and CMI (the operative words are assisted and managed). 2. are the programs produced by authoring languages incompatible with self-directed learning? I am currently developing a bibliography of published material about CAI, CBT, CMI and related topics. I'm including material about new products which support and which are CAI products. I'll make this bibliography available upon completion. Submissions are appreciated. Dave Stoffel, Amber Research Group
