We had been experiencing high collision rates, which we attributed to the Codenoll repeaters, and so requested help from Codenoll. They (Codenoll) responded by sending out an engineer who helped trace the problem to our ethernet cable. There was a kink in the cable and the terminating load was too close to the transciever (ie out of ethernet spec). Once these issues were resolved, the Codenoll repeaters were put back online and the link came up. Since then, we had Codenoll come out and get a second link up, and that too is now performing flawlessly. Milo Medin NASA Ames
