Sweet Polly Purebred was a TV newsperson, which sometimes put her into nasty 
situations requiring the aide of our pill-popping hero (remember the ring?).

Another villain I barely recollect is the wimpy cat-person.

Translated joke from our resident Frenchie, Martine:

Mrs. Coutier's first grade class was learning about rhyming, and was told
to make up a short rhyme.  Pierre came up with;
