It didn't take long to figure out that MP was Monty Python, but you give no clue about TB. The rest of your dialog with Mr. Rosen is therefore pretty lost on us. In general net.jokes.d has been used for short complaints about copyright laws, and anti-semitism or sexism in recently posted jokes, or about the lack of original jokes in net.jokes. Clearly this discussion is outside that realm. In fact if I knew what TB meant, I might go see the film and start talking with you about it. It is somewhat refreshing to have this different, more thoughtful, kind of discussion here. On the other hand, I stopped reading several different newsgroups about eight months ago because I was very tired of reading the long winded back and forths between Rosen (on reason) and Wingate, between Rosen and Arndt, etc. Still, since it appears that mod.jokes will soon be around, you can infest net.jokes.d, and it won't matter to me very much.
