Message-ID: <258@bocar.UUCP> Date: Thu, 14-Nov-85 08:16:37 EST Article-I.D.: bocar.258 Posted: Thu Nov 14 08:16:37 1985 Date-Received: Fri, 15-Nov-85 04:59:27 EST Organization: AT&T Bell Laboratories, Liberty Corner Lines: 12 Xref: watmath net.math:2516 net.wanted.sources:1511 I am in need of an algorithm to devise a basketball schedule. For example, we have 12 teams in our league (but it could go up or down at any point). I need an algorithm to have each team play every other team one time. All games are played on Sunday, so there are six games going on at one time, one each on courts 1 thru 6. Then, the next week, we have six more games, and so on until 11 weeks have passed. I know Knuth must have written an algorithm for this, but I can't find it. If you have any help at all, please send mail to me, as I don't read this newsgroup too often. Thanks, Mark Nevar
