Motorola hype !?! Some of us wouldn't stoop to the level of Motorola assassination that Intel practices in their ads and in their benchmarks. In fact, some of us are damn irritated by Intel hype. To make this note constructive: a short lesson in competitive benchmarking. Suppose my product is five times faster on one benchmark, and five times slower on another. One of Intel's answers: normalize and take arithmetic mean: Mine Theirs 1 5 1 .2 --- avg 2.6 times slower ! QED ! -------
