Lines: 21 [what fun is a printer that doesn't sound like marching men?] I think that ink clogging has been a problem since the first pen. Anybody who has used drafting equipment knows all too well that anything that uses ink will clog. I think the dilemma is that an ink that dries too quickly will dry in the pen, but if it dries too slowly it will smear. I used an Exxon ink jet printer, and it came with a cleaning kit, which consisted of a plastic cards with a foam strip. You moistened the strip with some fluid (mainly denatured alcohol) and rubbed the front of the head. It made a mess (the solvent appropriately became black and smeared on the card and the paper in the printer) but it really cleaned the jets (all 18 of them). A nice machine, but it was on loan so one day the men came and took it quite away. My Olivetti spark-jet printer hasn't clogged, but it has its problems (by design). Did anyone else get that DAK special (and is willing to admit it)? Jeff 'sprtizensparken' Skot {ihnp4 | allegra | mcnc ...} attunix ! jeffj
