Ok, this is a one minute tutorial for how to get around that limitation: 1) Copy a document to df1: (drag with Workbench) -- or -- Save a document to df1: (enter: DF1:foo) 2) From workbench... select the DF1: document 3) Press the key and double-click the Textcraft icon. 4) Now a) Textcraft will open, b) the default directory will be the one containing the document draged in step 1. Arktronics has elected to look for everything they need based on SYS:. SYS: is the boot diskette. You can use the Workbench menu item "info" to determine the tool that will run when you double-click your document. If you add a line such as: "assign sys: df1:editors/Textcraft" to your startup-sequence you can move Textcraft there. I do not know which other products use SYS:, but none of the system stuff should ever NEED to. > > -bruce brolsma > Bolt Beranek & Newman Inc. > cambridge, massachusetts > > > ARPAnet: brolsma@bbn-spca
