Specifically, can I use the following cards in a //e? 1. Hayes Micromodem ][ 2. Microsoft Softcard 3. Videx Ultraterm I'm pretty sure the micromodem ][ works, and I know the ultraterm partially does, but I'm quite unsure about the softcard and am hesitant about trying it out since I think I remember hearing about some (major??) problems using it in the //e. I know Microsoft later came out with a Softcard //e, but why. Also, even though the Ultraterm works fine by itself, if you have an extended 80-column card (or equiv.) installed, can you use some of the different modes of the Ultraterm (like 80x48 or 128x32) and still be using the auxillary memory? Or do you have to use the 80-col mode on the extended card? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all.
