Namely: self-test is still the same old 1200XL pattern. For a computer that never went over too well, it will be remembered fforever as the one that generated the test pattern. Secondly, altho they do not show up on the keys, you can generate both the { and } marks from the keyboard! To get the { mark, use -- to get the } use either or keys. (I.e. CONTROL plus ; or 2 or < to get either a { or }.) For some reason you have two choices to get the } symbol.
