This system uses the Syquest 5Mb removable cartridge disk for backup and system loading. In the preceeding six months I have had four failures of this drive. This appears to be the rule rather than the exception (based on conversations with the mfgr). If you do opt for a removable hard disk system, I recommend avoiding the Syquest drive.
