This is probably due to the fact that if batch up/downloads are done, a global convert is undesirable since binary and ascii files MAY be mixed. Some mention should be made of utilities such as "unixcpm" and "cpmunix" to handle such files. sb's attempt to restore the tty after the transfer (i.e., un-do the raw) results in a lock-up condition on BRL Unix 4.2 BSD. This MAY be due to the fact that I'm accessing BRL through a TAC. I had to reset the connection and log in again. --Keith
