I kept a copy of the modified Finder on my Corvus hard disk (until I started using HFS and Finder 5.0). The patch is a one-byte change: Find: 6726 554F 4878 ... Change: 6026 554F 4878 ... These 6 bytes probably will be unique even if you have ResEdit'ed the Finder a bit or added fonts and desk accessories. Darin Adler
