I have now seen 3 of 3 hyperdrives fail. Why so? This morning my Hyperdrive went BONKERS and refused to boot. I could boot off of a floppy with no problems. I tried working with the startup drawer, reinitializing and reformatting the hard disk, and anything else that anybody could suggest. After a full day of getting put on hold by the people at General Computer (most aggrivating), somebody finaly decided that there was a "HARDWARE problem". I was advised to send the HyperMac to my dealer. So now here I stand mouse in hand and no FILES. I did back up the disk bu I have no HyperMac to recover my files on. I am sadly disappointed. Dave "where have all the files gone....."
