There IS a group called net.music.gdead..(or something of that nature.) Someone stated earlier that they enjoyed the new Rush album no end... I think it's better than signals, but it's still disappointing next to 2112, A Farewell to Kings, and Hemispheres. (Can 'Big Money' stand up next to 'Xanadu?' I heard Allan Holdsworth for the first time...he's a very good guitarist. Would that I could play half as well... As for those putting down Madonna...Sure, the music's drivel, but that's what it's supposed to sound like. Safe, sellable AM fluff. She has the image and the bank account to prove that properly-packaged anything sells. I'm more interested in learning about new progressive stuff than hearing Kate Bush's hat size...the net introduced me to Holdsworth, and I'd appreciate it if some other people could point out other musicians and why they enjoy listening to them, rather than discussing why every member of Twisted Sister should be shot. I enjoy progressive rock, blues, and blues-based rock. Anyone have any buried treasures to recommend?
