'2112', 'A Fare- well to Kings', and 'Hemispheres' were from the older-middle days of long mood pieces (more applicable to the latter two). Their emphasis lately has been more towards technically oriented music, and is trying to create a different mood. Actually, to tell the truth, I prefer the older stuff myself - I still think 'Rush' and 'Fly By Night' are two of their best overall albums for pure listening enjoyment. Sure, the style is a little rough on 'Rush', but those two albums have the best up-beat rock-n-roll style, and few albums by *any* other artist are as good for those commutes on the local '20 mile X 4 lane parking lot' (Rt. 495) {Personal opinion - no flames} The new album does have some good parts, and I am still listening to it to get more of the nuances (but I liked it the first time, I just like it *more* each successive time). Check out 'Territories', and the song about the bomb (the name escapes me). 'Big Money' was ok, but got *way* too much airplay in this area. In any event, they're coming here on December 16th, and I've got floor seats (it was worth the camp). I'll post a review then. david P.S. For those locals, WIYY (98 Rock) is having a Rush phone interview tonight (11/18) at 11:30.
