We went to Sri Lanka without any practice whatsoever. Our team hadn't played cricket in many weeks. A week before the tour we had no idea if the tour would still be on because of the "tension" between the Sinhalese and Tamilians. In fact, most of them thought it would be off for sure. So they got there without warming up, and were just not mentally prepared. We deserved to lose that one. -- Pavan.
