In specific, how reliable are these TVs ? Yesterday I drove to Newyork [5 hours drive from here] and brought a TV home. It is a SONY model KV1882. It is a three system model, which can work in India, U.S and in Europe. I hooked it up and switched it on. It worked beautifully - but for just 5 minutes. Then the picture went dark. I am glad that I caught this problem before lugging it all the way to India. My confidence on these TVs is sort of shaken now. I even wonder whether this supposedly SONY set, is really made by SONY. And now I have to deal with the formidable shop-keeper in Newyork, to get my money back or get the set replaced. It is not going to be easy. [$410 is no joke] Meanwhile I would like to find out if anybody has experiences/opinions regarding the reliability of these TVs. [or related experiences]. Thanks.
