Message-ID: <113@hermes.UUCP> Date: Mon, 25-Nov-85 12:02:11 EST Article-I.D.: hermes.113 Posted: Mon Nov 25 12:02:11 1985 Date-Received: Thu, 28-Nov-85 04:11:23 EST Distribution: net Organization: VIBRAC Corp., Amherst, NH Lines: 26 My apologies for any bogus article that may have escaped this machine with the same subject heading. We had a system crash while I was posting. Lord only knows what went where... We have several RIXON R212A modems in house and used by employees at home (as well as our call-out modem, etc.). RIXON modems operates in its own "menu mode" as well as emulating HAYES mode. I am wondering if anyone out there has had problems with them forgetting their stored phone numbers/settings and not easily waking up in response to carriage returns. In fact, maybe the modems caused that last crash :-). Every modem that we have obtained either directly or indirectly from RIXON has had some kind of problem of this nature. Other people I have talked to who have these modems have *not* had these problems. Any help will be much appreciated. I am not associated with RIXON, HAYES or anyone else for that matter. Maybe I should be posting to net.singles ... Christopher M. Caldwell decvax!ittatc!sii!dmcnh!hermes!chris 13B Bobby's Lane, Milford, NH 03055, (603)673-2249
