A serious, in-depth investigation of the family ways-and- means has revealed a rather bleak winter forecast: enough cash for a couple of days by the standard lodging/lift route, but not the hoped-for 1 - 2 weeks of high-intensity experience. WHAT'S THE SOLUTION? I really don't know what the possibilities are. I have heard of various kinds of `shares' (as I said, I do have some cash), packages, etcetera, but I lack the necessary connections. I have considered organizing a group outing so that we could `tag along' at a discount, but again, I don't have the needed information. We would be open to a shared Christmas vacation with another family of desperate skiers, if this is an option. I eagerly solicit any fresh ideas that promise snow. CAN YOU HELP? Do you have experience with any of the above? Do you have a situation that might be of mutual benefit? Are you in the same boat (or a complementary one)? Do you have any suggestions or know anybody who `knows'? Then you can help! Please drop me a line by e-mail or more mundane methods (see below). Note: We are based in California but will cheerfully pack off to Timbuktu if the price is right! Yours desperately, Galen (Pray For An Early Winter) Cochran P.S. I also need help with hardware! Nicole (my wife) and Soleil (the 4-year-old) both need beginner/intermediate outfits. You wanna sell that old stuff? ******************************************************************* 917 Riley Drive Albany, CA 94706 (415) 525-4391 c160-1ac@ucbholden.Berkeley.EDU ******************************************************************* ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
