How true!  My XSO dumped me a while back, and even if sometimes
I think I'm ready for another relationship, after one or two
dates I start getting scared and jumpy.  Fortunately I have
a few MOTOS "just friends", who I spend time with. No pressure,
no scary feelings, no jumpiness; just a nice dinner (split the
check) and deep conversations.  These "dates" are much more fun
than ones with a potential SO, and are a good way to keep my
mind of the "terrible XSO" for at least a little while!
