It's a lot of fun to do the shopping *with* the person if that works out, I'm recalling (quite fondly) an episode several months ago that revolved around most of a day spent noodling around our farmers market looking at this and that, eventually buying ingredients for a elegantly simple meal. As far as people "being obsessed with what to have not having a very good sex life" (excuse the paraphrase) you can most kindly shove off.
