Co., Inc., Everett, WA Lines: 11 Personally I hardly notice others use the word love because I figure I don't know what they mean by it (an exception is when someone whispers "I love you" in my ear, that I notice). I know what I mean when I say "I love my friends" or "we are lovers" or "I love you" but these are my own definitions, not yours. There are few words in any language that have precise definitions, much of what is communicated is by context and non-verbal means. Which is probably why we have so many misunderstandings here.
